About Wendy Chan

As a licensed marriage and family therapist with over eight years of experience in the field, I have worked with a diverse range of clients including teenagers, adults, and families. I received my specialized training in transpersonal psychology from John F. Kennedy University, with a focus on integrating the spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and creative aspects of the Self in therapy. I am fully trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, and I am a California-certified sexual assault counselor.Throughout my career, I have held a variety of positions in the mental health field. I have worked as clinical lead therapist, managed care therapist, and a mental health clinician in school-based counseling services. In these roles, I have provided individual and family therapy, conducted client intake and assessment, and offered case management and consultation services. I have also worked in an outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment program, empowering transitional aged youth to make positive changes in their lives.Currently, I am self-employed and running my own private practice in California. I am passionate about working with people to help them overcome trauma, emotional dysfunction and achieve self-awareness, self acceptance and personal growth.
