About Wendy Greer

I am passionate about working with both children and adults. I currently work in an elementary school setting but have great interest in working with college students. Years ago, I worked as a college Resident Director, and have great memories of this time. I have also served in an administrative capacity as Director of Special Education at York Central School. This was after several years as an educator in the same district. I currently teach a mainstreamed 5th grade math, science class and work with students who receive ESOL services. Diversity and equity are my current areas of interest and study. My career goal is to be able to continue advocating for people that are in need of some type of education. My biggest accomplishment would be teaching my current students as well as working with college students to promote the education of our young students. They have so much potential to help us all and if you take the time to give them hope then they will succeed. In addition to education I have worked in the business world as a sales professional and have earned rewards for top women sales in North America for Fleetwood Folding Trailers. I sold on “feature, benefit” sales techniques, and earned great reviews in follow through service, and organization. My work experiences are varied, but compatible. Because of life experiences I have also developed a passion for helping the elderly. They need to be celebrated as the “ cream of the crop” citizens they are. We have much to learn from them. We will be wiser when we listen to their stories.
