About Wendy Perring
The essence of PAD studio: “Spaces that offer the chance to be, pause, reflect and grow. Places to retreat to, to be sheltered by. Places that nurture the soul. Places to commune with others. Beautiful places that offer a sense of wonder to all those who encounter and experience them. Places that give back and speak of the people and setting that they belong to - back in time and looking forward to the future.” PAD studio is a creative collective of architects (and architects to-be) which have achieved national and international recognition through numerous awards and publications. Our Commitment as a Creative Collective- REALISE the potential of client dreams into beautiful buildings - QUESTION to reveal elegant design narratives - REFLECT on the poetic possibilities of place - RESPECT nature in the flux of change - SUPPORT our clients on the journey - LAUGH daily, and build enjoyable relationships Wendy was joint Scottish Young Architect of the Year winner in 1995 and graduated with a first class degree and a distinction in her M Arch from the University of Edinburgh. After a brief sabbatical at sea (notching up over sea miles), Wendy was a founding director of Perring Architecture and Design, which became PAD studio Ltd in 2013. Wendy has served as design adviser with Design South East review panel since 2015, and been a judge for a number of awards including the RIBA Regional Awards which she chaired in 2017 and 2020.
