About Wendy Rees

I am a Partner at Clayton Utz, specialising in major projects, front end construction and commercial law. My practice centres on large private and public infrastructure projects across a wide range of sectors, including rail, road, precincts, energy and resources, and telecommunications. I advise clients on all phases of a project life cycle, from structuring, procurement and development, through to handover, operations and maintenance. My practice spans complex procurement, collaborative and traditional construction models, asset acquisitions and disposals, structuring, regulatory advice, contract management and stakeholder management (e.g. utilities, councils, landowners and government bodies), as well as supply, operations and maintenance arrangements. My energy and resources experience includes oil and gas (supply, distribution and transportation), electricity (generation, transmission and retail) and renewable energy projects. I have also worked on major technology, road and rail projects for government clients and have gained invaluable in-house government experience through numerous secondments.
