I am a senior executive with extensive experience in the supply chain, operations, e-commerce, strategic business development and management. I have a proven track record of generating increased revenue, enhancing the bottom line and reducing costs and growing business units through effective business strategies resulting in long-term sustainable growth. I’ve been able to achieve this as MD, GM and Operations Executive in previous positions in Retail, Wholesale and Supply Chain companies trading in RSA and across numerous African countries. During the past 20 years my Supply Chain experience has been in Shipping & Clearing, Warehousing Operations, Transport Solutions, E-Commerce Solutions and Cross Border expansion into African territories. Specialties: Operations Management, process flow, purchasing, planning, negotiationsA Manufacturing and Production Specialist who then moved to logistics and now complete supply chain management. Outside of the academic training I have always intensely focused on constant learning from a vast field of international industry experts and exposed myself to a cross section of industries to ensure that I stay at the cusp of technology and management principles. I have grounded myself in ensuring I treat all people as I would want to be treated and to ensure that everyone that I engage with I learn from and I try to leave them better than what they were.I am a true deep retail supply chain specialist with comprehensive business wide experience which enables me to add value to many business aspects, but also I am able to engage and utilize the 'greater team' to ensure that collectively we get to the best solutions.Growing up in a business that has always been based on a principle of trading like insurgents, I have learnt that being obsessed with what happens in the frontline and living with the owner’s mindset are key enablers to making a difference and continuing to drive growth. I am a relentless driver of action, I am against wasted bureaucracy and believe that the customer is ultimately the driver of where decisions and investments with intent needs to be made.
