I love design. I love details. I love. code reviews? Architecture is the marriage of art and science, practical needs and whimsical inspiration. For those who like being in the right side (and the left!) of their mind, architecture is truly an equal opportunity employer. Architecture is the intersection of the macro-level design of whole communities in which buildings are placed, and the micro-level design of objects found within those buildings. From here you will think about the world at both large and small scales. Whether it's sketching an elevation on an iPad, or completing a building code review template, architecture is both needful and luxury, it's life safety and fire separations, amazing spaces, textures, materials, shadow, light, and form. I've embraced technology in architecture. From sketching apps up to complex building modeling software such as Revit, I believe that mastery of digital tools is required to be part of the future. Knowing how building systems like HVAC and lighting work helps us design buildings that use less energy, and that's vital. Architecture is, for those who work at it, a journey.
