About Wes Tabaczuk

I am currently a Project Manager with the Geotechnical Services group at Pinchin Ltd. As a member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) with over 14 years of experience, I have gained a valuable blend of engineering, leadership and business knowledge in the consulting industry. I have an ability to improve and develop innovative design solutions that are safe and cost conscious. Over the course of my time with Pinchin I have been involved in numerous types of geotechnical projects, taking on a variety of roles at different levels of project management. I am skilled at project planning/coordination, execution of the project in accordance with the contracted scope of work, budgeting, employee/client management, and report preparation, all while ensuring client satisfaction. I have been involved in a diverse range of geotechnical engineering projects that have required relatively simple to relatively complex unique engineering design solutions due to the inherent complexity of the soil deposits in Ontario. Routine geotechnical projects consist of obtaining surface and subsurface geotechnical information via borehole drilling, rock coring, test pit excavations and monitoring well installation to identify and classify soil types, strength properties, and groundwater conditions. These geotechnical engineering projects range in size from small construction projects worth a few thousand dollars to larger major construction projects worth several million dollars. I have overseen the coordination of field activities, laboratory submissions, data review, report writing, costing, budget management, and proposal submission. Some of my cliental have included large national clients, provincial clients (i.e. MTO, MNR), municipal clients and a variety of industrial and commercial clients.
