Teacher, Developer, Marketer, Traveler, Musician, JavaScript Nerd, MOOC Enthusiast, Debate & Public Speaking Coach, the list goes on. I'm Wesley. In past and present, I have experience in education, as a developer, and now I work to help market an amazing technology company. The people I've met and experiences I've had shape who I am today: a highly self-motivated, driven, passionate individual who believes we have no higher calling than using our talents to empower others and enrich their lives. My particular talents have lead me to this stage of my career: taking my energy and my passion for coding & technology to help communicate how companies can solve problems with software. My strengths in the field of education and self-education lay in my communication skills and understanding of the technical aspects of my career. I'm also a firm adherent to the 80/20 rule: when finding a solution to a problem, which 20% will give me 80% of the results. This begets productivity, which itself is an ongoing process that demands self-discipline, innovation, and the humility needed to become a lifelong learner. Humility keeps your mind open, and tunes you to new ideas of others, which in turn reaps the benefits of becoming a highly collaborative person. I'm currently working as the head of marketing, which puts me in areas working with product, marketing, sales, design, and leadership strategy teams. The dynamic nature of my work satisfies my passion for problem solving, technical detail, and creating quality products. Should our paths cross, I look forward to working with, and learning from you.
