I have over 30 years experience in all types of formal and informal insolvency procedures, including Administrations, Company Voluntary Arrangements Provisional Liquidations, solvent and insolvent Liquidations, Insolvent Partnerships, Receiverships, as well as personal Bankruptcies. I head up the BVI office of Alvarez & Marsal and prior to this I headed up the BVI office of CVR Global LLP (now Begbies Traynor) for 6 years. I originally trained in the UK with a big 4 firm and spent 6 years on international assignment with their Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands firms. I have worked closely in the past with the local law enforcement agencies when fraud has been alleged against various stakeholders connected to insolvent entities. Subsequent to this, I spent 3.5 years with a boutique firm based in their Bermuda and British Virgin Islands offices. I have developed considerable technical expertise and extensive knowledge of insolvency law in many jurisdictions. My involvement in international and cross border engagements has enabled me to develop skills in forensic investigations, asset tracing, fraud investigation, litigation and identifying money laundering. I am a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in the British Virgin Islands and have acted as an official liquidator on assignments in Bermuda. In December 2001 I passed the UK’s Joint Insolvency Examination Board’s examinations.
