About Wesley Fly

Hey! I'm Wes. I've been a proud co-owner of Source since I got out of college in 2012- And before that, I programmed at Wild Web Studios, Inc from 2007 - 2011 (Source used to be called Wild Web). Admittedly, I was a horrible programmer, so I utilized my business degree from UH Bauer Business in hopes I could use my skills for something good! Since 2012, Source has been profitable - Not one year has gone by where we haven't been able to provide our employees raises or bonuses each year. I've focused intently on making sure we retain large clients - Even when those decisions are incredibly difficult. I've had to take on projects I knew weren't the best just to ensure we keep the lights on and the company moving forward. This sweat equity cannot be replaced - And thank God, it has paid off. It's now over 10 years later and the company is performing so strong! It's not easy running a small business. On a day to day basis, I am HR, I am accounting, I am project management, and whatever else my co-workers and clients need for me to be. I'm sure most everyone feels this way about aspects of their own job. Running around like a chicken with their head cut off. But you know, I wouldn't trade it for the world. My co-workers enjoy their jobs, our taxes and payroll gets made, our projects get done on time and under budget, and I still manage to keep my door open everyday to help and lead where I can, even when I'm having a sour day. I'm passionate about the work we've done - The software we write is world class - Sure I'm biased. But we don't cut corners. I've lead this company under the mantra that we will absolutely do the right thing when clients can't see - And in this case, obviously you can't really see our code. We try to fix issues before they happen - And when issues do arise, we fix them at no cost to our clients. It stings sometimes. We're not perfect. But our image is incredibly important to us. and our software is a reflection of that image. Lately, as I gain more experience, I am focusing more on the corporation as a whole and our culture. The team works 40 hours a week - And if we do have a rare weekend we have to work, I'm here with them. I want to keep it that way. Work life balance is important to me- And I believe that with proper balanced management, it can be done while over performing in our daily duties. I've been happy to lead this squad since 2012 this way - And I intend to do this anywhere my future takes me! P.S.
