Currently working for St Giles Trust Early Interventions / Prevention Team, Unlocking Potential CIC and Restorative Justice Council Full Time embedded into Lea Manor High School and alternative education centres across Luton as a Senior Mentor / Facilitator & Project Co Ordinator in Early Intervention / Prevention managing a complexed high risk caseload of at risk young people. Running sessions, assemblies & 1:1 Mentoring around Youth Violence, Exploitation & Grooming. Also sessions to parents and professionals on signs to look out for on at risk / vulnerability eg Safeguarding Speaking on my testimony and lived experience. Currently going into HM Prisons across the nation as a paid role speaking and co facilitating courses around Conflict Resolution & Change to serving residents and officers. Speaking on my child hood and what brought me to my wrong choices, then onto what took me on my journey of change and how succesful it has been for me, being living proof that change is possible. Like many young men who find themselves in the prison system, I had some what of a traumatic childhood, I was given my first custodial sentence at the age of 13. This was a defining moment in my life as from there on out I never returned to school, I left home and quite frankly it was the beginning of the end for me for a very long time. The following years brought great highs and lows or at least what I thought was great highs, now I am grown and gone through my journey of change, I can look back and say those highs were not worth my childhood, education, freedom or mental health. Today standing before you a changed man, change that was brought about from the loss of loved ones, qualifications & getting involved with the right agencies and accepting and utilising the support offered within the prison system to enable me to be the man I knew I could be. Now working with a strong passion in Early Intervention / Preventions with a case load of high risk young people, Creating Change and Resolving Conflicts through my Lived Experience, Restorative Practice, Qualifications & Training combining them all with a empathetic approach. HMP Peterborough Restorative Justice Team Co ordinator stated I was a fundamental asset with embedding Restorative Justice / Approach Practice into their Establishment classing me as a one time Champion and being awarded by Management’s and Governor’s for resolving high numbers of violent conflicts.
