About Wesley Hicks

I am a SHRM-CP certified HR professional with experience in HR program development, employee relations, leadership support, and organizational culture. My career spans corporate, education, and public sector roles, giving me a broad perspective on how people strategy drives results. As a Sales Manager, I led and developed teams to exceed performance goals, gaining firsthand experience in coaching, employee engagement, and operational leadership. In education, I further refined my ability to design inclusive programs and foster collaboration. Today, at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, I apply that mix of management and instructional expertise to build HR initiatives that strengthen leadership capabilities and employee engagement. Across every role, I’ve built a reputation for combining strategic thinking with a people-first mindset. My goal is to create workplaces where employees feel supported, leaders feel equipped, and organizations can achieve excellence.
