Former Partner of Deals practice of PwC based in the Toronto office and brings over 37 years of experience. Specializes in valuation and deals decision support related services. Led PwC's overall National Real Estate Advisory practice in Canada. A senior member of PwC Canada’s China Business Network team and has dealt with transactions across international borders and with Asia based clients on their overseas investments/operations. Extensive experience in providing valuation related services to enterprises in a wide variety of industries, particularly in real estate, mining, retail, consumer and industrial products, and financial services. Primary Valuation partner responsible for the Canadian firm’s valuations prepared for tax, corporate reorganization and estate planning purposes. Wes led valuations for other purposes, such as for merger and acquisition activity, financial reporting requirements, securities commission reporting requirements, shareholder agreements/buyouts/disputes, financing, and corporate governance. Led some of PwC's most complex real estate portfolio and multi-location valuation projects for a number of well-known clients including real estate developers, owners, occupants, lenders and various pension and investment funds. Involved in the provision and quality review of valuations in various real property classes including retail, office, residential, industrial, hotel and land. Has 3.5 years experience in PwC’s China/Hong Kong practice, provided advisory and assurance related services for both domestic and foreign companies with operations/investments in China. More recent experience has involved assisting Chinese companies in the evaluation of investing or operating in Canada, particularly in real estate. Maintained close contact with PwC Chinese firm and travelled to China regularly. Lead representative for PwC on various road shows to China including with the Toronto Stock Exchange, InvestToronto, and with Canadian real estate delegations.
