About Wesley Simon

I am an educational leader deeply committed to creating inclusive academic environments where students and faculty can thrive. As the Dean of Academics and IB Coordinator at Stoneleigh-Burnham School, I lead program development, drive instructional excellence, and oversee the growth of the International Baccalaureate curriculum for grades 7–12. My work is fueled by a passion for student-centered learning and building a culture of academic rigor and belonging. I earned my Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California, and I hold a Professional Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University. These experiences, alongside my tenure in leadership roles at institutions such as Saltus Grammar School in Bermuda and Cheshire Academy in Connecticut, have shaped my ability to lead with authenticity and foster positive, lasting change. Whether developing strategic visions for student life, leading DEI initiatives, or recruiting globally-minded educators, I strive to cultivate environments where everyone can excel. My teaching journey has taken me around the world, from Tanzania at Dar es Salaam International Academy to Connecticut with Teach for America. These opportunities have enriched my global perspective and allowed me to connect deeply with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. I am proud to bring my experience, dedication, and vision to every role I take on in the education field.
