About Westyn Beaudoin

Accounting and Business undergrad student at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks with a main focus in oil and gas accounting. Previous to studying finance I was a 3 year petroleum engineering student specializing in production and upstream operations. I knew I wanted to work in big oil, but just recently discovered my passion is in the finance department. I currently intern for ConocoPhillips, Alaska under the property tax group, making me a 3rd generation Alaska oil worker behind my grandfather and father. I grew up on a small berry farm in Southwest Washington where I learned the importance of hard work and giving to the community, and found I work best when I get to utilize my social skills and be a leader. I've got to utilize and shape my skills working diverse and laborious jobs over the years, from being a deckhand on fishing boat to raft guiding in the summer time. I love trying new things and getting out of my comfort zone.
