About Whitney Cornett

I use to always dread the question “what do you want to be when you grow up?”. It seemed so overwhelming as if I had to have my life figured out before I even had time to decide what I was going to eat for dinner. From always taking the reins in school group projects to make sure we all came together to accomplish our goal without procrastinating, to early on in my career always finding myself wanting to organize operational processes, I was a project manager before I even knew it. Fast forward to today, I have successfully managed numerous projects across multiple different industries to find my niche in software. I love setting people up to be successful, whether that is with my internal teams or externally with customers. I enjoy finding a gap in a process and working to refine and define a new one to ensure no time or money is wasted. Drive, curiosity, and wit are a few words I would use to describe myself. I drive a project through to the finish line in my career, and I drive my husband crazy with always wanting to have a plan. I am curious by always asking “why” or “how” in my work to best understand certain situations, and I am always wondering how I can help those around me in my personal life. I can identify a risk and pivot in a situation quickly to find a result, and I don’t take myself too seriously by bringing a little wit and humor with me wherever I am. So as it turns out, when I grew up I became a project manager, or I just found a title to match what I knew I would be all along.
