About Whitney Keever

My family friend committed suicide when I was 12. We all thought it came out of nowhere, but his struggles were most likely building for some time. I believe that if he had a place to go to, someone to talk to without feeling uncomfortable, he might be with us today. Throughout my life, I was a witness to mental illness. In high school, I was personally affected by anxiety and depression. My therapist recognized, for me, that the lack of serotonin was contributing to my emotional state and it took having consistent, meaningful conversations to increase my serotonin and turn things around. I know how lucky I am to have access to such valuable resources, and I realize that so many people suffering in a similar way, don’t. That is why I started Serotonin Supply and 988. Our mission is to spark mental health conversations, globally. As part of our journey, we launched 988, a brand bringing awareness to the new national suicide prevention and veteran’s crisis hotline number- 988. We’ve launched a socially conscious, mission-based clothing company designed to start these important conversations. In addition to reinvesting most of our revenues back into the goal of spreading the message, we are also donating a portion of our proceeds to multiple mental health organizations.
