About Whitney McVeagh

Whitney McVeagh is a senior honors student at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of business where she is majoring in finance with minors in mathematics and actuarial sciences. At the university, Whitney is involved in many organizations including Women in Business where she operates as the club's president, the Office of Residence Life as a resident assistant, and the Kelly Center Career Center where she assists as a career peer advisor. During her time at Fairfield, Whitney focuses her extra-curricular activities on working with children. She actively participates in elementary school volunteer programs at the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants as well as working at Thomlinson Middle School as an in-class mathematics tutor. Her work with children has taught her the importance of giving back to her community while also heightening her own communicative skills particularly when managing language barriers. In the future, Whitney is looking forward to pursuing a future in finance and is currently open to applying her skills to career opportunities in the business field.
