About Whitney Thomas

I am a 4th year pharmacy student at North Dakota State University (NDSU) looking for a pharmacist residency position once I graduate in 2024. I have current retail pharmacy experience at CVS pharmacy in Fargo and Bismarck, ND since November 2019. Through this internship I have been able to communicate directly with customers, work in prescription production, as well as learn the names and functions of common drugs. This experience helped me to develop quick problem solving skills and stay calm in stressful situations. Additionally, I am currently employed at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND where I have been gaining institutional pharmacy experience since June 2022. With this position I am able to learn the ins and outs of an IV lab, proper sterile technique and help make medications runs to hospital floors. My involvement at NDSU includes being the previous Pre-Pharmacy Club president at my college and current Communications VP in our APhA-ASP chapter. These positions have allowed me to gain leadership skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a team to reach a common goal.
