About Wiegand Grafe

Most of my professional life so far, I focused on developing digital solutions for the maritime domain. In various roles such as software developer, project leader, and product manager in Research and Development, Maritime Class Development and Digital Solutions (Product Line Ship) I worked in DNV, DNVGL, and GL for more than 29 years. During this time, I had the chance to work with different domain experts and to deepen my knowledge in ship construction, ship operation and maintenance as well as in software technology and project management. Currently, I’m one of the product managers in ShipManager Cloud. The aim of the development is to conceptually modernize the legacy system ShipManager and bring it into the cloud as SoS. I’m responsible for managing the business requirements for the central platform services and for asset management, maintenance and organization services. Passionate about focusing the data models and enterprise object definitions for maritime software solutions in close interaction with stakeholders, I love to understand their business needs, turning requirements into roadmaps, and finally developing and shipping software products.
