I am an ACAS using my experience in insurance product management, pricing, and data science to manage a team of actuarial analysts and data scientists to support pricing workers’ compensation, commercial auto, homeowner's, personal auto, commercial and personal umbrella, business owners', commercial package, general liability, yacht, and commercial fire lines of business. Our team also supports our company's digital transformation and its impacts on pricing and data capture. My experience includes building and evaluating underwriting predictive models, updating and streamlining indications, providing rate recommendations and filing support, creating recurring reports and processes, performing rate analyses, and other actuarial pricing and analytics projects. I also have previous experience in assisting in underwriting predictive model development and maintenance, as well as applying predicted models to pricing decisions and analyzing their efficacy. My preferred programs for analyses are Excel including Data Models and VBA, SQL, and R. I am a career changer and have prior experience in commission retail management and sales, foodservice, customer service, bookkeeping, warehousing, and general odd jobs.
