About Wil Holman

Professional translator who can only speak English. I only recently learned that the main skill that has seen me excel within the retail sector, estate agency and IT is my ability to communicate and translate what people are trying to say in to any language. Whether it be listening to the front end user or the board of directors I can understand and translate the needs of both and in turn convert those in to stories that all can understand to help facilitate positive change within a business.Since getting my first management position at 18 I was told by a fellow manager that I wouldn’t succeed as ‘my bark wasn’t strong enough’. Since that time I pride myself in that I have managed hundreds of people over the years and delivered success within different challenging and intense industries; throughout it all I have never raised my voice or failed to treat anyone with respect. I believe everyone is intrinsically motivated to do a good job, the job of the manager is to remove the barriers and allow them to thrive. From making sure the pet food isle was full to delivering large IT projects it all comes back to keeping each step simple, well defined and taking pride in what gets delivered. I believe that by maintaining simplicity in the workplace the greatest results come.I am very partial to a good quote so I would like to leave you with 3.If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself. ― Albert EinsteinCommon sense is not so common - VoltaireBe excellent to each other - Bill S Preston esq
