About Wil Torriente
I graduated with my BS in Public Health in 2022. I am currently pursuing my Master's in Human Services, which will complement my 10+ years of Public Health experience. I am currently employed as the Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital Responder Programs Manager. The Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital Responder Program is a violence intervention program that implements strategies to reduce violence, intervene in scenarios of retaliation, and support access to wrap around services offered by the hospital and community partners. I provide direct services by means of education, advocacy, and linkage to the appropriate resources to survivors of violence and their families. Our overarching goal is to prevent violence and mitigate retaliation in the Baltimore community as part of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood and Safety and Engagements Community Violence Intervention Ecosystem. My personal goals are to promote healing, reduce retaliation, reinjury, and the reduction of contact with the criminal justice system by providing authentic community engagement using a holistic approach.
