About Wilfred Senyoni

I am an Information Systems Researcher and Implementer with more than 15 years experience. I am interested in the design, development, implementation, integration, use, and sustainability of information systems (IS) in developing countries. My research is primarily grounded in an action research framework and participatory design approach, working closely with practitioners, data managers and policymakers. I have managed research and consultancy projects involving diverse stakeholders at the national and regional levels. Additionally, I supervise PhD and Msc students at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. I am the technical lead of HISP Tanzania, part of the larger HISP Network, which aims to strengthen Health Information Systems in developing countries by supporting the DHIS2 implementation, local customisation and configuration, and offering in-country and regional training. I have extensive consulting experience with public, private, regional and international organisations like Health Development Partners, Ministries of Health and government agencies.
