MY BACKGROUND Before embarking on what has been a highly successful real estate career, I attended and played baseball for Stanford University. Drafted in the first round of the 1993 Major League Baseball Draft by the Athletics, I would go on to enjoy a professional career that spanned 8 seasons. I also had the privilege to represent the United States as a member of the 1992 Olympic Baseball Team - pitching two games in our efforts that year. In 2001, I retired from professional baseball with the desire to continue engaging people in a way that enriched their lives. I started a successful small business, progressing naturally to real estate where I would develop my negotiation skills, assessing market conditions and helping my clients respond accordingly. MAKING SURE MY CLIENTS "WIN" I remember a coach I had in my baseball days that told me something that I never forgot. He said that 10% of the time you’re going to go out there and be unhittable, 10% of the time you’re going to be awful and can’t get anyone out, but the players that have successful careers are the ones that find a way to win at all costs during the other 80% of the time. I recently had a client had a limited window to view properties. Unfortunately, I was struck with a bout of Valley Fever at the same time. Even though I was really struggling physically, I went out because my clients were depending on me to do my job. We located the perfect property and I negotiated an outstanding deal for them. Despite my condition, I found a way to “win”. STRIKING THE RIGHT BALANCE I believe little small changes over time make a HUGE difference in life. I look out for people and things to “thank” and find the effects from that one small activity compound into a lot of areas of my life. GIVING BACK I do a lot of work with Veteran’s and am a proud donor for the Wounded Warrior Project. It is an honor to give back to those who have selflessly given so much of themselves to our country.
