About Will Arvelo

I have always been passionate about learning and the process of learning. At the same time, I have been concerned about the disparity of those that have ready access to education and those that do not. To create opportunity and build strong careers and healthy communities, there must be equitable and affordable access to education and training. This is why I'm so committed to community college education. I have a passion for education, workforce and economic development, and diversity and economic inclusion. I also believe that to create economic inclusion we must address systemic issues such as racism, food insecurity and lack of affordable housing, healthcare and childcare. I work on changing the system and solving problems by bringing people together. As a convener, I build bridges that link people to collaborate, network and create change. I work to improve organizations, businesses and communities to make New Hampshire a more diverse and better place to live, learn and work. I was born in the mountains of Puerto Rico where I ate oranges, bananas and mangos and drank freshly ground coffee off the trees. I grew up in Harlem and now I reside in NH, and I have travelled to over 25 countries. By nature I'm curious about people and what makes them tick. I am also a huge animal and nature lover. Love the woods of NH and hiking. Love reading about all sorts of topics.just a curious mind. I enjoy antiquing, my motorcycle and volunteering on various community organizations. Also am committed to my DEI work because I so love and appreciate what makes us different.
