About Will Bernat

William J. Bernat is a partner in the Corporate & Transactions Department at Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP in Boston, MA, co-chairs the firm's Emerging Companies practice group and Food & Beverage industry group, and serves on the firm’s Hiring Committee. His practice is focused on private equity, venture capital and angel financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance and corporate governance issues. Will represents clients in a broad range of industries, including food & beverage, technology, social media, life sciences, and other consumer products. His representation of emerging and entrepreneurial companies spans the companies’ entire lifespan, from initial planning and formation to operations and exit. Will also has significant experience representing major lending institutions and companies in complex multi-party financings and asset-based/commercial lending transactions. Will received a J.D, magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and a B.A, summa cum laude, from Providence College. During law school, Will was a note editor on the Suffolk University Law Review.
