About Will Brealey

I have thirteen years of landscape experience, ranging from preparing design codes to the detailed design of hard and soft landscaping. Schemes have included play areas, urban squares, public art, and strategic planting plans. Working with Matthew Wigan Associates, I have gained further experience of projects with an emphasis on historic landscapes and parks, and high quality public realm. I am currently working on projects for The National Trust, The Royal Parks, residential developers and private clients. In 2015 I played a key role in producing Matthew Wigan Associates' masterplan for Moccas Park, Herefordshire, which won first place in the Capability Brown Festival Design Ideas Competition, hosted by Natural England and The Landscape Institute. The proposals included a detailed analysis of the historic influences connecting with the concepts of the Beautiful and Picturesque, with practical scope for sensitive wood pasture and habitat creation. During employment with Plincke, I provided hard and soft landscape design input on a range of HLF funded park regeneration schemes, such as War Memorial Park, Coventry and Gheluvelt Park,Worcester. I played a key role in the preparation and presentation of landscape design proposals for BSF and PSBP school projects, working from the initial school consultation through to managing implementation. I also worked on urban public realm areas at Birmingham City University, and led community consultations for landscape projects in Coventry and Telford.
