About Will Close

I am currently Head of Property at Ausgrid, responsible for the strategy development, implementation and management of initiatives across Ausgrid's significant property portfolio including disposals, acquisitions, leases and developments. I was previously responsible for all non-network major capital projects and workplace strategy, leading the management and delivery of corporate office and depot construction projects as well as the management and implementation of the corporate accommodation strategy for Ausgrid's several thousand employees across the Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter region. My strength in stakeholder engagement at all levels has led to my proven ability to achieve outstanding program and commercial outcomes through collaborative relationship building, people management and decisive business acumen. Prior to moving to the private sector, I served as an Australian Army Officer and gained experience in managing teams in high pressure, complex international environments. This background provides me with excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership qualities that compliment my teaming ability.
