About Will Collins

As an experienced professional, I believe in the power of creativity to bring a fresh approach to communications, so complex information is understandable and useful for everyone when they need it. Born in Toronto and raised in southern Ontario, I currently reside in Fort McMurray, Alberta and work in Municipal Government. I am also proud to be the Board Chair for Arts Council Wood Buffalo. I hold a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in English Literature through University of Victoria, and a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in Professional Communication through Royal Roads University, and a certificate in Graphic Design through University of Calgary. While teaching English and studying music in Japan for nearly five years, I discovered my love of languages, culture and ongoing education. I speak Spanish, Brazilian Portugues and Japanese (poorly). My current focus includes growing as a legislative administrator, studying jazz guitar, and writing humorous kids poems. I'm also developing my artistic profile by publishing my writing, and volunteering in the arts community.
