About Will Dennis

I now work exclusively in criminal law defence, mostly with Old Bailey Solicitors, based in Horley, Sussex but covering London and the South-East of England, although I consult for other firms as well. My practice encompasses drugs, motoring, sex offences, fraud, theft, criminal damage, assault, domestic violence, in fact the whole range of crimes that people commit… I have been a head of compliance, an MLRO, a director of the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group, a member of the FATF Expert List and have occupied a range of positions in financial services' law, compliance and AML/ABC teams. If you have a compliance or AML problem I've probably seen it before! My background is in securities and banking law and regulation, in which field I worked for a number of banks across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. I worked for 10 years in Asia and speak some Chinese (Mandarin) as well as French. I have practised as a solicitor in the UK and Hong Kong. The skill set required to advise drug dealers is remarkably similar to that required to advise investment bankers!
