Been with Boardwalk since 2012. Currently an Area Coordinator overseeing operations of 1100 suites. Responsibilities include hiring, scheduling staff, budgeting, maintaining curb appeal and being available to offer assistance to resident members and 35+ site staff. Also report and provide answers to the Community Director when required. In the past, I had been in the Hospitality Industry for 13 Years and started as a Guest Service Agent at the Road King Travel Center in Sherwood Park. I worked with a few different hotels and chains as a Guest Service Agent. I received my first experience in leadership as a Duty Manager at the Howard Johnson Hotel after 5 years service and continued as a Front Office Manager & General Manager for the next 3 years. I then proceeded on to Coast Hotels & Resorts for 1 1/2 yrs as an Evening Duty Manager then promoted to Night Manager. In 2009 before coming to Boardwalk, I was offered a position at the illustrious Fairmont Hotel MacDonald as a Guest Service Agent. A fascinating experience.
