About Will Drake

I am a product and manufacturing leader with experience across design, engineering and global operations, delivering complex hardware products from concept through industrialisation and volume production across consumer, medical, renewable energy and sports technology sectors.In my current role at Sportable, a global sports technology company specialising in ball and player tracking, I have led supplier selection and contract negotiations across the product portfolio, delivering an average 55 percent cost reduction while maintaining performance and quality. I have also built and managed a seven person global manufacturing team spanning Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical Test and Supply Chain across four continents. Alongside this, I introduced ERP and PLM systems to strengthen production planning, engineering change control, and overall operational governance.My strengths sit at the intersection of NPI execution, DFMA, supplier development and scalable production systems. I focus on building robust processes that help teams move faster, reduce risk and scale sustainably.I am particularly interested in roles where I can own manufacturing strategy end to end, including supplier selection, tooling and industrialisation, quality systems, and ramp to volume, while partnering closely with engineering and leadership teams to deliver outstanding products.
