About Will F.

I grew up on a dairy farm in rural Pennsylvania. All our tractors were John Deere. At the age of 10, I learned to drive clutch on a 2020. My John Deere roots go at least 4 generations back. I still mow grass with my great grandfather's 110 that he bought new in 1964! For my 17th birthday, my dad bought me a 1937 model A for him and me to restore as a father/son project, further planting the longterm John Deere passion into a young man. So, naturally, after graduating highschool, I began my career at the local John Deere dealership. That was in 1998. I worked at a John Deere dealership from 1998 until 2015. I started out stocking parts and working the parts counter the first year. Then became a lawn mower service tech in until 2009 when I became manager of the department until 2015. During that time, the dealership went through a few ownership changes. In 2015, I relocated to Charles Town WV and began work for Phillips Office Solutions (now Marco Technologies) as a copier technician. During this time, I worked on John Deere equipment on my own and attempted to build a local mobile lawn & garden service business. John Deere is and always will be my first passion. In 2019, I returned to my John Deere dealership roots and started working for Gladhill Tractor Mart in Frederick, MD as a lawn and garden shop foreman/trainer/technician then moved into sales. Currently, I am still in sales where I sell anything from lawn mowers to small Ag tractors and skid loaders, as well as governmental sales. I am also in charge of posting our used inventory online and managing the company website as well as used equipment print advertising. I am also the in-house IT/Network adviser as well and am in charge of keeping systems/computers running at top performance. I also manage our company email accounts and am in charge of keeping spam and malicious emails at bay. My passion will always revolve around the small engine world or two cylinder tractors. The easiest way to start a conversation with me is start talking about round fender 110's or General Purpose two-cylinder tractors, specifically a 1937 model A.
