About Will Khan

I am a highly driven, innovative and creative thinker with extensive experience in Engineering, Research and Development and Software Engineering and a passion for leading highly capable teams to drive real, impactful change. This passion has taken me all over the world, leading revolutionary projects and helping create stability and growth in the businesses I find myself in. Some of my more impressive projects include the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Oral Cancer Clinical device ‘InVivage’, and the world’s most advanced electric hydrofoil – Fliteboard. I thrive in challenging environments where I am afforded the opportunity to create adventurous yet collaborative improvements. As a strong people leader and negotiator, I always seek consensus across complex business scenarios and listen to the wisdom of others, taking calculated risks where necessary to achieve greater results. I pride myself on uplifting others to help them reach their potential and creating long lasting change built on the values of adaptability, accountability and excellence. Furthermore, I possess nine years of Board experience where I have helped drive significant transformation strategies and provided influential and collaborative advice to key stakeholders. My natural talent for problem-solving and stakeholder engagement allows me to resolve complex issues quickly, while achieving consensus on ideas and plans. I am currently the Executive Director for the Gardenia Management Board, where I have helped drive strong profitability for the company as well as future-proofing via cyber-security initiatives and pre-emptive problem-solving. I am a board director for Health Ability and for Monash Business Association. My further Board experiences include the startup companies Barterpad and Bluesky, where I was both a Board member and the Founder/Co-Founder. My dedication, skills and success are extremely widespread, even filtering through to my personal life, where I have achieved awards in screenwriting and film making. I am also an active member of the Australian Aircraft Restoration Group, the Australian Institute of Physics and the Astronomical Society of Victoria. I am deeply committed to constantly furthering my already vast knowledge and achievements, which is demonstrated by my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, my MBA and advanced AICD courses, specialising in good governance, risk management, and identifying and implementing healthy Board dynamics. I also enjoy being a coach for my community basketball team.
