About Will Lawley

I currently lead the US team at Scissero, a legal-tech focused on optimizing AI solutions for legal practice in the alternative asset management space. In this role, I build and manage a global team of attorneys while working closely with our brilliant AI developers to develop and fine-tune practice tools that will revolutionize the law firm model. In my personal legal practice, I advise private equity firms and public and private companies on complex business transactions including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, going-private transactions, equity and debt financing arrangements, incentive equity arrangements, restructurings and other corporate transactions. As part of my public company practice, I successfully defended multiple shareholder activism campaigns and advised boards of directors on numerous corporate governance issues, including the implementation of shareholder rights plans (poison pills).I am a graduate of Princeton University's Psychology and Neuroscience Departments where I studied cognitive neuropsychology and developed a background in analytics. I then studied law at the University of Virginia, where I served as Executive Editor for the Virginia Law and Business Review and President of the Virginia Law and Business Society.
