About Will Murray

High Performance Consultant | Leadership & Team Development Specialist | Coach Developer | Podcaster Through mentoring, I help individuals make sense of their experiences, identify learning moments, develop retrospective coherence, then implement their developed knowledge and understanding into their practice and wider life. In my coaching journey I’ve successfully aided individuals and teams to flourish in environments I fuel with my personal values of Joy, Challenge, Connection, Curiosity, and Care. By embedding the principles of self-determination theory into these worlds I have created highly motivating, hotbeds of development and performance. In sport I have experience of coaching and coach development at a range of levels, from grassroots to Junior International and National League, I have managed large staff teams and significant administrative programmes at leading British Independent Schools, I have supported regional coach development as a Centrally Contracted Coach with England Hockey and globally as an FIH Coach Educator. Curiosity about the world around me, the individuals and groups that inhabit it, drives me to be a lifelong learner. This is evident in my coaching sessions, and the conversations I have; I challenge and question people to gain a deeper insight into their understanding, their personality, and their worldview. It leads to a stronger connection, more robust skills, and greater knowledge for all parties. I am a proud Midlander, raised in North Warwickshire; an avid Wolves supporter and cricket fan. I come from a large yet close family, and I am exceptionally privileged to be a quadruple uncle, double godfather and proud pooch papa.
