About Will P.

The first time I ever left the United States was in June 2024. I was entering an emerging industry I hadn't studied in school, and working with an international team I had never met in person. I was very nervous leaving my comfort zone to live with strangers miles away. I didn't feel ready, but I took the leap anyway, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. This experience taught me how to grow and adapt in an unfamiliar environment while building incredible friendships along the way. I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Information Systems. As a member of the QUEST Honors program, I gained experience working on multidisciplinary teams solving real-world problems for on-campus organizations, tech startups and defense companies. I found it incredible seeing how our ideation sessions flourished when working alongside pre-med students, engineers, computer scientists, and other business majors. The most creative ideas always came from a mix of perspectives, showing me how powerful diverse thinking can be in a team setting. I am drawn to collaborative environments that challenge to think outside the box. In my free time, you will find me playing baseball, trying new restaurants, or tweeting about crypto.
