About Will Sander

Throughout a young person's primary school education, the classroom is where the majority of their daily life is spent. Some of us have encountered a particular teacher with whom we shared a connection or mutual respect, or who simply made us feel a part of something special. During my four years in high school, I was fortunate enough to have such a teacher. In my senior year, I was allowed to select an elective as a teacher's assistant, and this teacher was happy to sign the consent form. I didn't work directly with his students as TAs do now, but he trusted me enough to grade the papers of my underclassmen. This experience instilled in me a sense of responsibility that has remained with me throughout my adult life. Now, as a substitute teacher, I have the same opportunity to collaborate with professional educators, administrators, and staff to help guide the children of our community toward a brighter, healthier, and more prosperous future.
