With over 20 years experience helping organizations develop strong messaging and materials from Advertising and Annual Reports to Websites and CRM Installations, it is always rewarding to see the impact good communication can have. This is done by focusing efforts on communicating the strengths of organizations, based on discerning the true nature of what is integral to their mission and successes. In developing these campaigns and strategies, what truly drives progress is the development of true connections with stakeholders, audiences, and colleagues. Through these connections we can better understand the nature of the global community in which we live and what the unifying truths and guiding principles that build our social networks, workplaces, and society truly are. I have been able to develop an understanding of what it is that may make people take notice of certain types of communication, and how the nature of how we communicate with one another is evolving as more an more of the populous are digital natives every year. It is in this mindset that I have approached communication strategy, being conscious of the constraints and limitations of budget, capacity, and time in a world when communication is moving faster than ever. In my work I have focused on communication and campaigns that are centered in mission, creating ads and materials to publicize organizations online, through social media, and in publications such as the Washington Post, Ars Technica, Nature Biopharma Dealmakers, The Quantum Insider, Quantum Computing Report, Bethesda Magazine, and the Financial Times. Since 2020 I have been helping to build PolarisQB, the first company in the world to develop a drug discovery engine powered by a quantum computer. In my role as Director of Communication, I helped developed email marketing campaigns, webinars, visual collateral, and written communication that connected the company with a diverse audience of stakeholders. With PolarisQB, I worked with both our computational chemistry and development teams to create content that communicated complex ideas and concepts from the world of quantum computing and drug discovery to a worldwide audience. I was the primary staffer who handled our press and media engagement, as well as our social media profile. I have an interest to take this experience forward in my career to help other organizations grow and thrive, whether that is with my own employer or through outside partners. I believe that to truly build a more just and sustainable world, collaboration between like minded individuals is crucial.
