About Will Terry

With over 14 years of experience in communications, politics, and global security, I am a communications advisor at Eagle Pointe Advisors, where I provide strategic advice and guidance on public affairs, and media relations. Previously, I worked as a communications and legislative affairs officer at the State of Vermont, where I supported the governor and the cabinet on policy initiatives, legislative priorities, and crisis management. Before that, I served as a director of external affairs and a special assistant at the U.S. Department of State, where I managed high-level engagements with foreign governments, international organizations, and civil society on a range of global issues, such as human rights, democracy, and security. I also have experience as a White House Defense Fellow, an associate at the White House, a field organizer for Obama for America, a legislative correspondent at the U.S. Senate, and an intern at the Salzburg Global Seminar. I have a master's degree in global security studies from The Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in political science and government from Kenyon College. I have skills in public relations, politics, and policy development. My core competencies include strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, and crisis management. I am passionate about advancing global peace and security, promoting democratic values and human rights, and strengthening the role and impact of the U.S. in the world.
