About Will Thomas

My talents and growth within the fields of Day-to-day building operations, Event planning/management, student development, and assisting in overseeing a campus Student Center would add value to any team. I earned my degree in Communication with a minor in Sport Management from Western Kentucky University, shortly after that, I earned my Master’s within the program of Sport Administration with certificates in Event and Facility Management which I believe prepared me for a plethora of positions. As a Communication major, I had to work in various groups to figure out solutions for problems that were thrown our way. Having to do this, I believe showed me how to work well within a group while figuring out solutions for problems that existed. I also believe this major has helped in public relation and marketing talents. While studying Communication, I also worked with the NAACP where I gained valuable experience within the field of promotions and the correct way to go about that. Furthermore, my time working as a Graduate Assistant and manager of the Student Union at WKU has given me extensive teaching in the areas of facility management, operations, event planning, and marketing which I believe serves well in many industries of work. My time at Florida State University has furthered my experiences. I have begun to understand the workings of event planning. Understanding how to plan, implement, and execute great events while handling a a number of other tasks has made me more of a well rounded employee that could help any company accomplish their goals.
