About Will White

My coaching journey began 14 years ago, as a volunteer with the NC State Rowing Club. I fell in love with the sport, and with a role that allowed me to help others achieve their wildest dreams as student athletes. In 2009 I joined Triangle Rowing Club and turned my passion into my profession.I began as the lowest coach on the totem pole, and after 3 years with the club, I was promoted to the head coach position. After moving to the head coach position, I implemented a 3 year growth plan for the program which doubled the size of the roster, and tripled the size of the staff. To date, the team has more than tripled in size since I began, and has gone on to win multiple medals at National Championships. In this time the program has also become financially healthy, and has expanded the equipment fleet, staff size, and program offerings each year.I am a detail oriented, well organized coach with over a decade in the profession. I have spent years honing my skills as a strong communicator, and crafted my coaching and management philosophy on the tenets of hard work, enthusiasm and empathy.
