About Will Wormell

I am an experienced professional, proficient working in the fields of public policy and data science. I currently work as data and insights manager for a marketing and sales firm, helping them use data to drive their campaigns and to deliver better outcomes for clients. In this role, I am leading the project for constructing the new data lakehouse to modernise our approach to data. I previously worked in data analysis and regulatory reporting for a major utilities firm, offering insights into the capacity of the organisation and advising them on policies to meet their legal and regulatory duties. Before this, I worked for over seven years at the Ministry of Justice in the UK as a civil servant. I have also worked for five months in the European Commission, alongside the then Justice Commissioner and Commission Vice-President, Viviane Reding. I worked in both English and French. My specialities include: policy development and analysis, statistics, data science and programming (R, Python and SQL) and business insights (Power BI). I am able to add value to a wide variety of organisations, in both the public and private sectors. Outside of work, I enjoy PC gaming, reading, politics, economics, and have an amateur historical interest in Tudor and World War 2 history. I also build and maintain high-spec PCs for myself and others.
