My career has largely been “behind the scenes,” where my analytical mindset and adaptability shine—especially in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. Whether solving technical challenges, leading teams, or mentoring colleagues, I have a knack for transforming complexity into clarity. With a background spanning over a decade in public education and now serving in municipal emergency communications, I have developed a deep commitment to public service. I leverage my expertise in training, mentoring, technical support, and team building to create more efficient, effective, and inclusive workplaces. My ability to present on a variety of industry topics—ranging from emergency communications operations to leadership, process improvement, and neurodiversity in the workplace—allows me to engage audiences in impactful ways that drive real change. As a working professional with Autism, I am deeply committed to bridging the gap between neurotypical and neurodiverse individuals in the workforce. I openly share my experiences to advocate for greater understanding, inclusion, and accessibility in professional environments. Beyond my work in emergency communications, I am passionate about fair labor practices and have been a long-time member of various labor unions, advocating for equitable workplace conditions through collective bargaining. In addition to my daily work, I actively contribute to the growth of our professional association through public affairs, outreach, and advocacy efforts. As a leader in professional awareness and engagement, I work to elevate the 9-1-1 industry, ensuring the public and policymakers recognize its critical role. I am also involved in legislative initiatives that impact emergency communications professionals, advocating for policy changes that support our industry’s evolving needs. Above all, I believe in the ethic of reciprocity—the principle of treating others as I would want to be treated. Whether in leadership, mentorship, or collaboration, I strive to foster environments built on respect, fairness, and mutual support.
