I've been in IT for a long time now and looking back at my work history, I find that what has got me most excited has been the people aspect of things. Helping people is what I do. IT just happens to be the medium. I'v been hardened in the forging fires of customer service. I've been tempered like fine steel in the consultancy biz. And not once have I cracked my poker face in a tough customer service situation. My poker face is actually so good that I'm banned from the casino. But what actually is great about me is my wit, my caring for people and my sense of humor. I read a lot, both fiction and non-fiction. The topics I have delved into include leadership, marketing, psychology, negotiation, philosophy, governance, health, exercise, diets… the list goes on. All these topics interest me and somehow they all combine in my mind into one unified picture. I'm a collector of information. I love learning about things and thinking about how they relate to each other. And because of my reading acumen and my working background I have the ability to relate to people in ways that some might call exceptional. I'm also a problem solver at heart and via my working background I have had a lot of practice in approaching problems from various angles. In my current employment I have had the chance to develop processes and have found that to be very fun. Outside of work and studies my recent passions are acting and improvisation theatre or 'improv' as we like to call it. Acting and improv are so different from my day-to-day things and they push me constantly to the edge of my comfort zone. I love that! I don't respond to calls from numbers that I don't know so please contact me in other ways.
