Dr. Willem van der Muur has 10 years of professional and research experience in the field of land administration, property rights, and access to justice. A lawyer and anthropologist by training, he has published academic work on land governance, with a focus on legal policies on customary land rights. He currently holds the position of Land Tenure Specialist at the World Bank where he oversees the implementation of various projects in the East Asia-Pacific region, including the Indonesia Program To Accelerate Agrarian Reform (One Map Project, US$ 200 million) and the Lao PDR Public Information and Awareness Services for Vulnerable Communities Project (US$ 2,5 million).
