About Willi Freire

Willi is a Manager with PwC’s Workforce Transformation practice, specifically with the Talent, Change & Behaviors community. A south Floridian native, Willi earned his bachelor's in Business Administration and Political Science at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. With a robust background in banking, Willi has worked in one of the largest modern-day bank mergers during his time at Truist Financial Corporation (formerly SunTrust Bank). Willi has led hundreds of integration changes (from discovery to implementation) within the Information Technology and Human Resources spaces to drive successful change adoption across banking business areas throughout the enterprise at Truist. Willi joined PwC in 2021 and has been aligned to various clients, mostly within the financial services (FS) industry. His experience has primarily focused on strategic change management and workforce strategy, including: creating a new operating model for a cross-functional organization to effectively manage technology risk; leading strategic communication planning and execution for a new global organization anchored around the employee experience; and, designing a blueprint for a multiyear change transformation for a wealth management firm. Willi is also a member of PwC’s core DEI client-facing team and is passionate for advancing workplace innovative inclusion. He has led the design and creation of two Board of Director immersive learning experiences that have impacted leaders globally in acknowledging their unconscious biases and leading through inclusive behaviors. Outside of work, Willi spends his time actively ingrained in the local undocumented community, where he advises Atlanta-based students and creates professional development and programmatic opportunities for their advancement. Lastly, Willi is an avid reality TV junkie and uses any excuse to travel with his loved ones.
