About William Aalund

Howdy! My name is William Aalund, and I am a Computer Science major at Texas A&M university. Over the last few years, I've gained strong experience in programming and system design through my coursework, extracurriculars, and jobs. I feel that I'm at my best when sitting with a group of people around a white board discussing new systems and their technical requirements. My favorite programming language as of now is TypeScript! I love how it lets you embed functionality and documentation into your code. I've come to love how rock solid it makes scripting feel. C++ comes in at a close second, because I've developed a lot of experience with it at Texas A&M. If I had to pick a new programming language to learn, I would pick Go.Taking a look at my projects section, you will find I have developed many games. They are what got me into game design and programming in general, and I've used them to learn more about how to approach system design. My current project is a turn-based auto battler called CritterChess, and I have not published it online yet. It is sitting in a local git repository on my computer.
