About William Anders

Working with suppliers to create collaborative solutions is why I love the procurement field. I strive to create mutually beneficial solutions for both the customer and the supplier while creating long term relationships. More times than not, having an open and honest relationship with a supplier will result in cost savings and better delivery dates. During my career I have been had the opportunity to see many facets of the procurement field - expediting, sourcing, contracts, scheduling, and team management - with each area presenting new and exciting challenges and opportunities that have made me a well rounded procurement professional and leader. I enjoy leading teams and projects. I have had the opportunity to do so while in the Army and while in the procurement field. Team management is a skill I have had the opportunity to first learn and implement from my time in the Army where I led up to 94 soldiers. My management style consists of open communication, clear objectives, empathetic leading, and fair and honest assessments. Some of my biggest achievements during my careers are- Saved $2.3M+ on purchase orders through negotiating with suppliers and working with engineers to find unnecessary equipment options - Saved $350K by creating long term agreements with large spend commodities - Oversaw and coordinated a deployment of 196 vehicles, 40 containers, and 425 soldiers - Worked with a chronic supplier to decrease past due revenue $500K in three months
